He has taught several subjects related to International Economic Law, Private International Law, and Foreign Trade at the main universities and law schools in Mexico City, including the Faculty of Law at the UNAM, Ibero-American University, Tec de Monterrey Santa Fe Campus, Latin American University, and University of the Americas.

Mr. Aguilar has written multiple publications on different topics, but he chiefly writes about international commerce, customs, and investment matters.
He is often invited to speak or be interviewed about his areas of interest and experience.
