Mr. Méndez has written multiple publications on different topics, but he chiefly writes about oil and gas, in the light of Civil Law and on specific topics such as the use of oil fields and their regulation in Latin American countries.
He is often invited to speak or be interviewed about his areas of interest and experience.

Mr. Méndez has been recognized as one of the leading attorneys in his areas of practice by the most renowned international publications such as Who’s Who Legal, Legal 500 y Latin Lawyer, among others.

MAIN AREAS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Oil and gas (oil & gas upstream), oil and gas (oil & gas downstream), chemical lubricants, transportation, marine and airport terminals.
Corporate; Mr. Méndez acts as a Board Member in different companies and has had a very active role in all matters related to data centers, including, among others, regulatory aspects in telecommunications and real estate acquisitions.
Mergers and acquisitions. Administrative bids in oilfields, including joint venture and multi-service contracts.
Co-investment contracts with oil companies in both Mexico and Guyana.
