We are enthusiastically pleased to share with you that effective January 1st, 2022, Mr. Eduardo Carpizo Castro joins Aguilar & Loera as Partner. With this important addition to the team, our Firm continues loyal to its commitment to excellence and leadership in the rendering of legal services, through highly specialized professionals with excellent recognition and reputation in the industry.
Eduardo obtained his Law Degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In 1997, he obtained a Master’s degree in International Comparative Law from McGill University Law School in Montreal, Canada.
With a broad professional experience, during the last 20 years Eduardo has served as General Counsel and Head of Governmental Affairs at important Mexican companies from various sectors, including financial, automotive, services and marketing, such as GE Capital/GE Money, Nissan, PWC and Grupo Expansión. Additionally, he has served as member of the Board of Directors in almost all of these companies.
Before serving as General Counsel, for 10 years Eduardo also worked for some of the most recognized law firms in Mexico, which now allows him to combine both the invaluable perspective as external advisor and as General Counsel, in the analysis and resolution of complex legal matters. With this background and being at the top of his professional career, Eduardo now assumes a new responsibility as partner of Aguilar & Loera, which give us the certainty that his professional experience, career and leadership will substantially contribute to the growth and consolidation of the Firm.
As of January 1, 2022, Eduardo will lead the practice groups of (i) Compliance, and (ii) Governmetnal Affairs, and will also be participating with the Corporate and Finance group of Aguilar & Loera.
